“And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”
Hebrews 10:25 NLT
Do you attend your meeting?
It sounds like a weird and strange question to ask given that currently the church is not physically in-house running any meetings! Before the current pandemic and the lockdown, I recall we were going from one meeting to the another. We would finish attending a prayer meeting, then move into a spiritual servants’ meeting then an admin meeting to organize the service, then into an activity or trip meeting to prepare for it, then a Tasbeha meeting then home to prepare for a next day Liturgical meeting that is the Holy Liturgy.
Tell me today, which meetings are you attending?? I know it is tough and feels unnatural to attend liturgy online especially that you are not taking communion. I know we are “zoomed out” and many of us find it heavy to pray the Agpeya or attend our spiritual meetings online! But what has been your alternative to grow spiritually?? How are you “meeting” in fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ? To this end, I want to ENCOURAGE you to go back to attending liturgy online, to attend your weekly servants’ meetings, to attend your service meetings, and to attend your Bible study meetings.
Let us not NEGLECT our meeting together as St. Paul said to the Hebrews! I ask you to encourage others to stay connected and to ask about one another especially at this time. May the Lord keep you and bless you in His Name!
