Christ declared that He came so that in Him we may have LIFE and not just any life but life MORE ABUNDANTLY! Richness of life! Full life! Here St. Peter is reminding us that we are to GROW into a FULL EXPERIENCE of salvation! We are not to settle for just any life! Recall Ezekiel’s vision of a river that no one could cross (Ezekiel 47:5). That is the new life in Christ that is full of the Holy Spirit!
We are to CRAVE pure spiritual milk meaning to long for prayer and time with God. We are to SEEK a full life and not a mediocre and feeble one. We are to CRY OUT for this spiritual nourishment now that we have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness so that we can GROW to fully experience Jesus Christ our salvation!
God is willing and ready to enrich your life and make it fulfilling! Your role is to seek and receive from your Heavenly Father and never to stop GROWING! Ask, seek, knock...not for the earthly life but for the eternal life in Jesus Christ, the full experience of salvation!
