A NEW RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD is what we sinners were granted BECAUSE of what Christ our Lord has done for us! In His Incarnation, through His suffering and death on the Cross, in His Resurrection and Ascension, God the Word Incarnate has MADE US FRIENDS OF GOD!
Our relationship with our Creator is restored, for He took away our condemnation and gave us “a right relationship with God and new life!” It is what we celebrate in chanting the Friday Theotokeia proclaiming, “He took what is ours (sin, sinful nature, death) and gave us what is His (holiness, new nature, immortality & life) [so then let us] praise and glorify Him, and exalt Him!” Lord Jesus Christ my Saviour, as I praise, glorify and exalt Your Holy Name, I plead to You, HELP me GROW in unity with You to always be a friend of Your Father and reconciled with Him!
